February 2004

Several families from Asbury UMC, Madison, who lived in the Verona area, formed a leadership team to develop a new church in Verona.

August 14, 2004

Sugar River has its first gathering worship service in Verona at Festival Park.

January 9, 2005

Preparatory services were held on a weekly basis in the upper level Banquet Hall of the MAC Center, located on Verona’s south side.

March 27, 2005

Grand Opening service held on Easter Sunday with 176 people in attendance.

October 29, 2006

First Sunday in the former Verona library building, 130 N Franklin Street, also provides first office space.

October 18, 2009

Sugar River is Chartered as a United Methodist Church.

Cash purchase of Wildcat Lanes building at 415 W Verona Ave
