Building Maintenance Team

The purpose of the Building Maintenance Team is to organize and maintain the Sugar River
property so that it is a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where people can connect
with God and others, grow in their faith, hope and love through small groups and serve
others in need.

Children's Ministry

The primary purpose of the Children's Ministry Team is to provide a warm, caring and safe
environment where children (pre-school through 5th grade) desire to learn about God's love
through Jesus Christ. We will encourage them to connect with others, grow spiritually and
desire to serve those in need.

Children's Drama And Choral Programs Team |

The mission of the Children's Drama And Choral Programs Team is to maintain and
enhance the children's drama and choral program team so that the children may connect,
grow and serve in their Christian faith well as improve their self-confidence and
self-image.

Community Development Team |

The Community Development Team ensures that Sugar River UMC has a process for
discovering, inviting, nominating, and supporting people for Christian spiritual
leadership positions essential to the primary ministries of connecting, growing and
serving.

Community Services Team |

The mission of the Community Services Team is to ensure that Sugar River UMC is connected
by a broad variety of passions that reflects the concerns of our time. Sugar River UMC will
grow and serve by addressing different aspects of social needs and economic inequalities in
our community and the world.

Council on Ministry |

The mission of the Council On Ministry is to lead in developing goals and programs to
fulfill the ministry of Sugar River UMC-supporting individuals in their daily discipleship
through church programs and projects-in order to make Sugar River UMC more effective at
its primary ministry to connect people with God and others, grow in faith, hope and love
through small groups, and serve others in need.

Fellowship Team |

The primary task of the Fellowship Team is to ensure that Sugar River UMC creates an
environment where people can informally gather to connect with others, grow through openly
exploring their faith and identify ways to serve others in need.

Office Support Team |

The primary task of the Office Support Team is to ensure that Sugar River UMC has an
efficient and effective process for performing supportive and administrative duties as
directed by the pastor, including clerical and secretarial duties. The performance of these
duties allows others to connect with God and others, grow in their faith, hope and love
through small groups and serve others in need.

Operations Team |

The Operations Team oversees the operational duties (Finances, Staff, and Facility) of
Sugar River UMC in order to support the primary task of the congregation to connect, grow
and serve.

WAVE Team |
|
|
The WAVE (Welcome All Visitors Enthusiastically) Team organizes and maintains a system
of welcoming visitors so they may feel connected within the Sugar River family.
To invite visitors into active involvement in the life of Sugar River UMC, allowing them
to grow spiritually, and providing the opportunity for them to serve those in need.

Worship Media Team

The purpose of the Worship Media Team is to maintain and enhance the worship media
program thereby continually striving to improve the worship experience at Sugar River UMC
which is essential to our mission of connecting, growing, and serving.
