Earlier this year, members of the congregation and community were asked to "Take Stock in our
Youth". People were asked to purchase a "share" in support of the High School Youth Mission trip
to Hancock County, Mississippi. The promised return on this investment was to be a stockholders
dinner.
On Sunday July 12, the High School Mission trip attendees hosted the promised stockholders dinner.
Continuing their spriit of service, the High School youth waited on their stockholders serving them
salad, Spagetti and garlic bread.
But the high light of the evening came when the youth told us stories about the trip. They told
us about the bus ride to Mississippi, how each day went and of course, told us about the work they
did and the people they helped. And, they told us about the spiritual affect the trip had on
them all.
