Take Stock In Our Youth!
Help Support High School Youth Mission Trip to South Dakota
In June, youth and adults from Sugar River are going on a mission trip to Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota.
Residents of the reservation are struggling with poverty, unemployment, addiction, and health problems. Sugar
River and Asbury students will minister to the residents on the reservation through home repair, rebuilding, and
community outreach.
To help fund this project, our youth group is selling stock in our mission trip. Please consider supporting the
student missionaries by buying one or more $20.00 shares. We will send each shareholder a postcard during the trip
to share in the experience. Shareholders are also invited to a Family Shareholder Dinner on Sunday, July 11 at 6:00 P.M.
At the dinner, shareholders will find out more about the work we did at Pine Ridge and how the trip has affected us
personally. We will be selling shares in the fellowship area after each service.

Children and Youth Fundraising!
We have an opportunity for fundraising at Sugar River - we are excited to introduce the Scrip program.
With this program families can support Sugar River while they shop. We would like to encourage families to consider
where they plan to shop each week and pre-buy their gift cards through this program. Each gift card carries an associated
"contribution" of 2-15% or more - that is money that we will use for different specific things in the children and
youth ministries. Our current focus is for the High School youth mission trip to South Dakota. Please consider this way
to support these youth while you do your everyday shopping and gift giving! Visit the table in fellowship hall
for more information on this exciting program! You can also

table in fellowship hall. Cards ordered one Sunday will be delivered at church the following Sunday

Nursery
Birth to 3 years of age
Sugar River's professionally staffed nursery is committed to providing
a safe, nurturing Christian environment for young children. Our nursery
director is certified in early childhood education as well as infant/child
CPR and first aid.

Pre K - 5th Grade
Sugar River's worship service includes a children's message followed by an innovative, multi-age
Sunday school for children age 3 (preschool) through 5th grade. This hands-on rotation model allows for a variety
of learning styles. This is a Christian experience your children won't want to miss!

Middle School
Middle School Growth Group:
Each Sunday, the Middle School Youth
meet between services from 9:40 - 10:10 to examine and
discuss that week's message from Pastor Gary, ans explore
how they can apply it to their own lives.
Middle School Youth Group:
One Sunday each month the middle school get together
for fun activities, service in our community and Christian fellowship.

Confirmation
Sugar River provides an innovative confirmation program on Wednesday
evening from 6-8pm (dinner included). Pastor Gary works with the 8th grade youth, while
Joe Przywara works with the 7th graders on exploring their faith through guided
activities and exercises. Adult volunteers support and mentor the youth through this
two year process.

Family Sunday
On the first Sunday of each month there are no children's
classes. This allows families to experience worship together. This special
service involves all family members and features a child-friendly worship
with activities specifically for the children.

Family Production Night
Family Production Nite is the first Sunday NIGHT of each month.
This is an opportunity for families to invite other families and friends
and come to the River for music, skits, and more. This will be a great
time to learn how to apply the Sunday school theme to your family's
life, share in fellowship with other families, and enjoy a meal together!

Puppet Ministry
The puppet ministry is a team of youth and adults who are passionate about
spreading God's word. The goal of this team will be to provide meaningful entertainment to the
congregation and other children at Sugar River.
The puppets will perform during "Childre's Time" each Family Sunday and at Family Production Nite.
