Courage to Care: Engaging a Future Hope, Now

Growing in our faith is a key component to our spiritual maturity. It is a process of becoming more mature in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Sunday School plays a very important role in the spiritual growth of the children, but as we mature as adults, we must continue to grow in our knowledge and understanding of God, thus the expectation at Sugar River that we are “forever forming”. Be encouraged to grow in faith as you engage your Christian life with more meaning and purpose. As we engage our faith now, we bring the future hope of God’s presence.

2 Peter 1:5-8

5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV)

2 Peter 3:18

18But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. (KJV)
