Recapturing the Wonders of Christmas: The Gifts - The Gift of Grace

This season is a story of grace. The power and meaning of grace can so easily be overlooked and even discounted. Yet, grace is the central theme of Christian salvation. It makes a difference in our eternity, and that difference begins today. It is so beautifully summed up in the well known verse of John 3:16 (For God so loved the world that he gave his only son). But don’t miss the next grace filled verse, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” What wonderful words of grace...grace that transforms our lives...the wonderful gift from God.

2 Corinthians 9:6-9

6But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9(As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
