Enough - Defined by Generosity

What do you hope will be the legacy of your life? This is really a question about life and how we live into the future. The answer to this question is the catalyst for social change and what our vision and relationships for life are all about. The answer to this question helps us determine the way we want to live and the kind of world we want to live in. What do you hope will be your legacy? As Christians, might generosity be a worthy legacy for us to consider?

1 Timothy 6:17-19

17 As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19 thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. (ESV)

Proverbs 11:24-25

24 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer;
another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.
25 Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered. (ESV)

Proverbs 22:9

Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed,
for he shares his bread with the poor. (ESV)
