Soul Purpose - The Life Dance

A focus for 2018 is being attentive to our soul purpose. A challenge for us, is that dance with the distractions of our lives. The distractions that pull us from God, from love, from being at peace with God, others and ourselves. This week let’s be encouraged to lead and not follow in this dance called life…our soul purpose is at the heart of meaning and wellbeing.

Associated Scripture Passage(s):

1 Peter 2:11-12, Romans 7:21-25

1 Peter 2:11-12

11Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; 12Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation. (KJV)

Romans 7:21-25

21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (KJV)
