Service Mission

Service Mission opportunities allow us to serve outside the walls of Sugar River at the local, national and international level.  Local service opportunities are available in Verona and surrounding area.  National mission opportunities are available within the U.S., including disaster relief efforts, and high school and family mission trips.  International Missions are available beyond our national borders with our focus on Mission Guatemala.

Here are just a few of the many exciting service opportunities offered through Sugar River:

Local Mission Opportunities

  • We support the Badger Prairie Needs Network’s Food Pantry
  • We maintain the Verona Area School District (VASD) Community Closet which provides basic hygiene items and warm winter gear to children and youth in the district
  • We have established an annual Community Clean-up day supporting local schools and parks
  • We provide meals to a local homeless shelter
  • We help to Stuff the Bus with School Supplies each Fall
  • We host an annual diaper drive
  • We supply backpacks filled with donated food and snack items for children in the VASD to have over their winter breaks and summer vacations

National Mission Opportunities

  • We support national relief efforts through financial donations and supplies on an as needed basis
  • We host blood drives in collaboration with the Red Cross
  • We send our high school youth and chaperones on an annual mission trip each Summer
