Sunday School is in Session!
We currently offer in-person Sunday school that meets during the service. Children are invited to go to the Worship Auditorium with you to start and then they will be led to the classroom after the Children's Message. Questions? Email anytime!

SUNDAY SCHOOL & NURSERY
We invite you to visit our Sunday school class any time. You are not required to be a member of our church and registration is easy! Just ask one of the teachers when you arrive! We welcome you as God welcomes you! Children ages 3 through 4th grades are welcomed to our Sunday school areas after the Children’s Message in Worship Service. Children up to age 3 are able to join our nursery staff & other children for a nurturing play time!
Preschool-4th Grade
Our children’s ministry team supports parents as they foster faith formation in their child.
We use curriculum that is designed to inspire, equip, and support our ministry as we work to do the same for our families.
We believe that parents are "Faith Heroes" & should be the primary nurturers of their children’s faith journey.
Through our curriculum we are able to support parents at home by sending home a message about our upcoming lesson each week. This allows families to communicate with their children and ignite a passion for Christ.
During Sunday school we focus on biblical truths with your child and engage them in how they respond to these truths in their life. God is woven into the stories we talk about each week as we journey through time. Most importantly, they know that they are part of His plan!

Middle School (5th - 8th Grade)
Our 5th through 8th graders gather in the youth room after children’s message each week and discuss different values and themes that are important to this age group. They are able to see God working in their lives by breaking down:

Responsibility, and much more
Spiritual growth happens through digging into God’s word and exploring the true love He has for each of us. With a comfortable setting and servant volunteers who lead the kids through their discussions, they are able to connect and unite as a group while holding each other accountable for their own spiritual growth.
We also have a Spring Lock-In and other fun, fellowship gatherings just for Middle Schoolers and friends are always welcome! Check out the information on "Encounter" Confirmation for 7th & 8th graders as well.
Family Ministry
Sugar River values families and we want to support you through each step along your journey. About once a quarter we offer a Family Sunday where families stay and worship together as we look into themed ideas such as Bible Presentation, Advent, and other intriguing ideas for your family. With music, puppets, and activities, we show the children that worshiping God with your family is important. We explain the different parts of worship so the parents can help their child through the service. The activity that the families work on relates to the sermon and the children are involved in prayer by expressing their praises and concerns.
We also offer fun & fellowship events several times a year such as carnivals, gingerbread house decorating, Easter events, outings, parties, and more!
