Through Worship and Fellowship
The Heart of Discipleship
Sugar River United Methodist Church is committed to connecting our family, friends, and neighbors with God and others. Our worship and fellowship time are our primary avenues to connect.
If you would like to learn more about connecting at Sugar River or serving in these areas, please contact Heather Royer, Connect Director.
When we are able to meet in person once again, join us on Sunday mornings for Worship. We have nursery and Sunday School available for all children & youth. Get to know others in the congregation over coffee and snacks during fellowship time between services.
What to Expect
Sugar River offers a friendly, family-oriented worship experience. We connect through worship and fellowship, striving to offer worship that is authentic, passionate and meaningful, and sermons that both challenge the intellect and warm the heart. We offer contemporary music that is high-energy and inspiring, wrapped in the wisdom of tradition.
Sugar River is one church where you come to worship and you will get the look and feel of a small church. Our services are causal. You will see people dressed in their Sunday best, but the majority of folks simply come as they are.
Each one of our services is staffed with a team dedicated to loving, teaching, and caring for your children. Children are encouraged to attend worship with the family until after the children's message, where they can then attend Sunday School. We encourage you to check out our children’s ministry area and team.
Singing together is an important part of worship. We sing a mixture of contemporary songs and ancient hymns that are high-energy and inspiring, wrapped in the wisdom of tradition.
Supporting opportunities for people to connect with family and friends and build relationships is integral to the life of Sugar River. Weekly, fellowship time is held between services (10-10:30) in the Fellowship Hall. Sugar River also has quarterly events such as birthday celebrations in January, Pancake supper for Ash Wednesday, Soup Supper for Maundy Thursday, Brats for Father’s Day, Ice Cream social in the summer, and potlucks & other events throughout the year to support relationship development.
Our connections team is present at every service, and are more than happy to answer any of your questions and give you more info about the church. Any time you join us in worship we hope that you will take the time to fill out our Get Connected card. We promise we won’t pester you. We simply hope you will give us the opportunity to support, pray for, and get know you.
